YOU’VE GOT CLOONEY! NEW EP IS LIVE!

Smirk ‘um if you got ‘um, cause The Rad Carpet is back!

Thom, Whalen, and CJ5K tackle the filmography of director George Clooney, the well-intentioned Hollywood hunk who has been known to sub out his ER slab for a director’s chair. Your Carpeteers work backwards through Cloon’s rather uneven filmography, starting with his recent box-office blunder, the Coens-penned Suburbicon, before turning their attention to the dad-baiting WW2 throwback Monuments Men. But before the Cloon swoon sets in, the fellas have another zesty round of “In or Out?”, this time unfurling a take or three on non-theatrical cuts and midnight movies. It’s a hunka hunka burning smug–dig in and get rad!

Did any of you folks catch Suburbicon during its short run in theaters? Do you think the critical response and audience apathy were warranted? Any Monuments Men truthers in the house? What are your takes on non-theatrical cuts and midnight movies? We’d love to hear from you in the comment section below, on Twitter, and on our Facebook page.

Be sure to check out our viewing schedule for the remainder 2017–and the first months of 2018! Next month we hope to fare a little better with two of Clooney’s more critically acclaimed directorial efforts, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Goodnight and Good Luck.

If you’re looking for ways to contribute to the pod and help us continue to unfurl the Carpet with pride, head over to our pages on iTunes and Stitcher and throw us a rating and review–we’d really appreciate it.

Thanks for listening–and stay rad!
